Mount Union opened their 2019 playoff campaign with everything they wanted. The offense produced, while the defense once gain did what they have done all year. Offense and defense working well means a 65-14 Mount Union win over Hanover College. 

D’Angelo Fulford and Justin Hill lead the game off with a long pass and catch that represented what the offense would do all day. Fulford found D.J. Harvey for three touchdowns in the first half and passed to Justin Hill for a touchdown in the second. While the air attack exceled, the run game once again saw Josh Petrucelli run for 115 yards and three touchdowns. Petrucelli found himself on ESPN highlights with a tackle-breaking run the next morning. 

Defensively, the Raiders held strongly all day. Hanover accumulated only 80 yards through the four quarters. Junior Captain Mitch O’Hara lead with seven tackles. Additionally, Harry Bowker had an interception, and Tanner Murray blocked a punt. The defense saw its only touchdowns come from special teams turnovers.  

Saturday at noon, the Raiders take on North Central College in round two. The game can be heard on 91.1 WRMU and can be viewed on Billy Beebe and Wil Brienza will start with pre-game at 11:00 A.M.
