American politics is one of the most controversial topics people talk about these days. Following Trump’s State of the Union Address, his approval rating jumped up to 49%. This is the highest it has ever been since he took office. Less than half of the U.S. population like Donald Trump; however, the same can be said about Democrat leaders. Nancy Pelosi, the current Speaker of the House, boasts a 40% job approval, while her colleague in the other chamber, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, has a favorable rating of only 30% (All data can be fact checked in Real Clear Politics.).
Americans are growing tired of the current bureaucratic leadership, as well as the single party partisanship. Americans say that leaders from the two parties should meet in the middle and compromise to solve problems, instead of having shouting matches. Politics have become so polarized that the silent majority that lies within the moderates of both parties are being overshadowed by both the radical right and left, with the big and noisy mouths duking it out for airtime.
Facing facts, most people are right about Donald Trump. He’s immoral, unethical, blunt, rude, and in some ways, unfit to be President. However, Pelosi and Schumer have their own problems to contend with. The biggest problem with them is that the people aren’t behind them either. It’s time for all of them to go and rebuild with fresh new American leaders.
